The grass is well always greener on the other side, it’s sunny & bright, it’s lavish, always better & fuller than ours. But at times I wish to stop & imagine of all the pests that may be breeding in that greenery, maybe they dwell there to bite when they get a chance, monsters are hidden in the overcoat of that lushness.
Well, all this is metaphorical obviously; my message here is simple “All That Glitters Is Not Gold.”
You see someone happy & BOOM! Envy hits us; envy is THE source of unhappiness. Envying people for things that they have better than you just accelerates the process towards our sorrow. Well! it is always harder to see the advantages we have over them, which we always do! Some are there to rub on their faces, some are well concealed which in time may reveal.
Envy is the art of counting the other fellow’s blessings instead of your own. ~ *Harold Coffin*
