LODHI's SQUAD LOGO . I have always been called "Lodhi" by everyone, be it school, university or work! So naturally I wanted my squad to be called #Lodhisquad, also makes sense we can use it at anyone's wedding or for whatever later in life 😆 #Sughar stories 😋 . . . My youngest mamu, who also made my wedding invite boxes and helped with other designs; made this logo! I didn't know he was planning to make one, until he did!! And it just became a thing and I have actually used it on a lot of things! More on how we utalized the logo in the next posts and on my stories! . . . He even made the skyline logo, where he incorporated both (Lahore and UAE's) skyline (more on that on my blog soon!). . . . Suffice is to say my family is super artistic and hands on! HEENA STORY (BACK) . . . We were inspired by @hennabydivya a ton for the overall design. . To personalize the henna experience and design. I got the following ° Flying birds, because I beileve our families let us be and we flew into each other 🤣😋 also reached the heights that we did together and separately. ° bird cages, because those were overall incorporated in my wedding decor and birds can only be set free if cages exsist, right? ° Rain - we both love rain. It's beautiful, aromatic and messy. It rained on our wedding day too (jinx!) ° Our university logo, @usalahore where we first met and started this journey of friendship and love ° Our wedding hashtag #NaamZaib . . . Sitting for 6 hours was super hard but @hennabyamber81 's motivation kept me motivated. She never said a uff, kept working and I had to force her to leave me and go eat lol . . . I applied sugar water as it dried so that it keeps stickinh. Also, used a hair dryer to keep the henna warm. The warmer you keep your hands the better the color. Also, my friend burnt whole black pepper on the stove and I heated it with that too. I kept the henna on for almost 48 hours, didn't touch water in anyway whatsoever. . . . . The next day was my nikkah and I signed the papers with some henna still stuck (more on that soon). Loved the experience Alhumdulilah. HENNA STORY (FEET) . . Whenever I thought of my bridal heena, I knew I wanted it to be beautiful, intricate, creative and organic. ° Organic heena doesn't react with your skin ° It stays for longer (today is day 18 and there is still some heena on my hands and a lot on my feet, watch stories) ° the color develops in some days and you will love th gradual increase amd ultimately the decrease. . . . For the feet we decided the design on the spot. I wanted it to feel full but not over crowded. So we took elements from the hand and incorporated them on the feet. . . . HEENA STORY (FRONT) . I am fanatic about henna. Used to be a henna artist of sorts back in #UAE. Love the aroma and color build up. Just mesmerises me.... Hence, whenever I thought of my bridal heena, I knew I wanted it to be beautiful, intricate, creative, have negative spacing and ofcourse be organic! . . . I searched far and wide for henna artists in Lahore, who would understand want I wanted. I kept inquring on various groups, found a couple in #Karachi but couldn't afford for them to come to #Lahore . . . Finally!! One day @hennabyamber81 posted on a group and I messaged her soon after! I was worried at first, because her page didn't have a lot of bridal designs back thn. I sent her some ideas, we talked about the love story henna design and what not . . She made some sketchs and showed them to me. Which was a relief, I think every bride would love to see what would be done on her before it's actually done! . . Her work ethics are immpecible. She was at my place on time and worked for about 6-7 hours straight without a uff or this and that. The Love Story Table! . . . ♡ Love Story Time Line I got the ped string frames from #aliexpress. Found pictures of us, from 2011 to 2018 and hung it on a frame I made. I made the frame, with the help of my sister and cousin. What we did was - ° buy a thermacol sheet ° add glitter sheets to it ° added a lace around it's edges ° voila! Love story timeline is ready! . . . I printed the #caricature I got made from @thecaricatureshop_qtr and used it as a welcome poster for all my events! . . . Got the standee printed from @instaprint.pk . . . I contacted @thecaricatureshop_qtr and literally ate his brain out for this piece. We got this done in a month maybe maybe less. P.S: I wanted a ton of details.. read my previous post on my timeline for more on this! . . .
