DEAD WITH THE DEAD

When did it become okay?
When did it become okay to be indifferent to our surroundings?
When did it become okay to be indifferent towards death?
When was the last time we stopped and pondered over a death for more than an hour?
I don’t….

Do you remember being so stunned by a death you couldn’t think straight for days? When was the last time we did that?

When did it become okay for manmade catastrophes to be part of our daily lives?
When did this become our choice? Were we even given one?

When did ‘This shouldn’t be happening’ become ‘’this happens all the time’?
When did the death toll become just a number?

When did the human within us die with the dead?
