Some nights the crave monster in me wakes up and screams – FOOD! Cheesy something, please!!!

So on the YBlock roads, I roamed to find something new and pleasing – praying that I don’t waste my money on something useless and expensive.

With all these fast food restaurants popping up in Lahore at every corner it’s hard to differentiate the taste and quality. At the end of the day, the choices are left between KFC, Hardees, MC Donald’s or their copies in one way or the other.

The ambience is very chill and chic, Black and silver, easy seating, young staff. By the time we reached it was empty and even their menu was restricted as they were out of supplies. According to the manager, it was a very crazy day, which surprised me…

11813252_917661694957160_7016209202525857467_nTheir menu reminded of “Charlies Sandwich” of well I ordered their Hickory and Classic burger with a single meal.

The fillings are made on the spot; the steaks are grilled, chopped, vegetables added, sauces and Vola the burgers ready.

So when I was seated, I took a bite of their fries.

Ahh!! Crispy and fresh even at this hour! Oil free, delicious snack.

And my burger…… HEAVEN!!!!!

The bun was fresh and soft; the steak was perfectly grilled, full of flavours and played just the right notes n my pallet.

It was one of those meals I could have with my eyes closed, just to savour every bite!

It’s a memory to remember. Definitely, a MUST MUST GO again AGAIN!
Oh! And the best part is it’s all in such a good budget – it’s a Fairytale!4 Sep 2015 (10)

Type: Morning Breakfast

Sweet Affairs recently introduced their breakfast menu, available from 9 am to 12 noon. The eatery is famous for its baked goods which had a humble start and now has flourished with 2 branches in the best areas of Lahore, Gulberg and DHA.

SA breakfastOn a very hot summer day, I decided to check their menu out. The ambience of their Phase4 branch is very airy, set on a large area, the decoration in minimal yet beautifully done. The place is highlighted by the good looking cakes hung by their ceiling and their delicious baked goods and gelato on the display. The seating is very cosy and comforting.

Their breakfast menu was not so impressive with only to choose between eggs and sweet based dishes. Breakfasts should be healthier than this but the sweet tooth wins usually….. we are at fault.

So I ordered Waffles with Red velvet gelato & Strawberry smoothie

The smoothie was made from their gelato – it was quite thick, creamy and tasty, though I expected a fruit smoothie or a healthier version of a smoothie. The presentation was not so appealing either. 11922003_10155957214950580_449351721_n 11998341_10155957215085580_1597058693_n

The waffle took 15 minutes to arrive, which I was told at the time of ordering, punctuality.

It looked heavenly; the serving was ample for a single person. The waffle

11081221_10155953421950580_7901827358213203240_nwas crispy thick and the gelato softened it perfectly and the chocolate sauce wasn’t too sweet or too sour. The flavours added perfectly. Defiantly a must try and would have it again.

I had half of time and packed the rest.

The foods really good but the value for money isn’t. The prices I thought are higher than usual.
